VA.org

VA.org is the our first Beta Project. It was set up as a not-for-profit digital platform to collect, organize, and present resources for the empowerment of our veterans. Such resources would include aides and allies that share our belief that veterans can be the defenders of our democracy. The great American experiment, that is nothing if not an experiment in democracy,  must fall on the shoulders of those who are prepared to lay down their lives for it. To bolster their position as role models, VA.org is committed to growing a collaborative network of interconnected online businesses owned and run by veterans. But first, building a collaborative community is paramount. With that aim, VA.org continues to  utilize and mobilize veterans around common issues that tap into their shared identities, values, and purpose.

Why empower our veterans?

We believe the most dedicated servants to America – our veterans – are systemically under-served and marginalized. While our country remains a global superpower, the men and women who serve and defend us struggle to get basic support when they return home.

Any social transformation needs an acceptable and credible interface between the vision and the action. Owing to their undefeated sense of duty and patriotism, veterans command unanimous respect and veneration among all Americans. The values that they embody, brotherhood and patriotism, continue to inspire millions around the country. The Independence Project propels veterans as frontrunners and catalysts of change because are best suited to diffuse and promote a democratic vision for humanity.

Veterans bring an enormous amount of determination and integrity to the project. The trust and respect they evoke among the American public make them an ideal choice for active leadership. Their leadership would focus on the pursuit of universal good and general welfare. To prepare them for this role, we shall empower them with morally fulfilling and financially rewarding job opportunities to be generated and supported within a cooperative community. Refreshed with a new sense of purpose, veterans will enjoy restored confidence and an improved quality of life.

How do we empower our veterans?

VA.org was designed as a singular platform connecting vets all over the country on issues that matter to them the most. We provide valuable information and resources so our heroes can access the services they need, navigate bureaucratic red tape, sidestep fraudulent schemes, foster dialogue and serve their local communities.

We help veterans take charge of their lives by:

  1. Providing information on government benefits, health care, and more – We strive to provide accurate information that can help veterans navigate bureaucratic red tape and enjoy the benefits they have earned.
  2. Building a networking community for veterans – We shall provide veterans with a platform so they can connect with current and former service members, share resources, and meet common needs.
  3. Listing star-rated charities that veterans can trust – We are in the process of compiling a convenient and resourceful database for credible charities to connect veterans with available services. This will also prove a valuable resource for people looking to make a donation to veterans’ welfare.
  4. Initiating ‘Buy from Heroes’, veteran-owned businesses – To facilitate business opportunities for veterans, we offer veterans the opportunity to access scarce skills or products and enter into new markets. We do this by establishing partnerships with existing brands and using the resources of our joint venture partners. , scarce skills and products and entry into new markets. Veterans can thus supplement their own resources and income without making any capital investment. A joint venture (JV) such as this can also help veterans take advantage of a local partner’s market knowledge, contacts, and customer base.
